Protecting you when you need it most

What's the Problem?
Life-Threatening Snake Bite
When a patient is bitten by a venomous snake, the patient experiences pain, swelling and excessive bleeding. If not treated within an adequate time, nerve damage and necrosis may occur which could often lead to the need for amputations. However, Antivenom does not treat or prevent necrosis.
Getting to a Hospital on Time
Most snake bites occur in secluded areas, like hiking trails or mountainous regions, where a hospital is not close by and an ambulance cannot access the patient.
Treatment is Expensive
The most effective treatment is multiple Antivenom injections, each of which is $32,000 in the United States which can become increasingly expensive.

Our Mission
“NeutraVen aims to develop a venom deactivator, a therapeutic medical device that will facilitate neutralization of venom to prevent the complex short and long term side effects of snake bites ”

The Venom Deactivator
A device that applies electric current transcutaneously to denature protein complexes found in lethal venoms
